Large Language Models (LLMs)

A large language model, or LLM, is a type of generative AI that has been trained on a massive amount of data, which allows it to “understand” and generate human-like responses based on a set of provided instructions or prompts.

Supported LLMs

HopGPT provides access to a number of LLMs. Each model specializes in certain tasks and behaves slightly differently from the others. We encourage you to experiment with each model to learn the tasks in which each model excels.

Azure OpenAI

Access to OpenAI models is made possible through partner agreement with Microsoft and uses an Azure specific version of the model. For this reason, you may notice subtle differences in results generated within HopGPT compared to those generated through commercially available OpenAI channels.

Anthropic

Access to Anthropic models is made possible through partner agreement with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and uses an AWS specific version of the model. For this reason, you may notice subtle differences in results generated within HopGPT compared to those generated through commercially available Anthropic channels.

Meta

Access to Meta models is made possible through partner agreement with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and uses an AWS specific version of the model. For this reason, you may notice subtle differences in results generated within HopGPT compared to those generated through commercially available Meta channels.

Choosing a Model in HopGPT

As a valued HopGPT customer, understanding the range of available large language models (LLMs) is important. This page provides essential information about the different models offered, their strengths, and, for our API customers, how much each costs to use.

Whether you’re looking for advanced reasoning capabilities, creative writing assistance, or coding support, we’re here to help you choose the right option for your specific task. Dive into the details below to guide your decision-making and optimize your use of HopGPT.

Before you explore the table below, it’s important to understand some generative AI terminology:

  • Reasoning: This refers to the model’s capability to go beyond mere data processing. It encompasses the ability to make inferences, solve problems, and support decision-making based on the information it analyzes.
  • Code: This denotes the model’s proficiency in generating structured code outputs. Examples include programming languages and formats such as HTML, CSS, JSON, or SQL.
  • Multimodal: This term describes AI systems that can process and analyze multiple types of data concurrently, using different modalities such as text, images, audio, and video for a more comprehensive understanding. Note: HopGPT does support image, audio, or video generation.
Knowledge Cutoff Date: This is the definitive date up to which the AI model is trained with information. Any developments, events, or data that arise after this date are not incorporated into the model’s knowledge base.
